";s:4:"text";s:3296:" So pick your preference, pair it up with your Beam, and you're good to go! 1 reply; 57 views D deck Contributor I; 0 replies I just got a sonos beam, when trying to set it up and connect to the network, it can't connect. So, if you don’t have HDMI, put that HDMI cable away for later use (in the event that you do upgrade your TV), pull the optical audio cable out, plug it into the Sonos Beam, and then the other end into the TV. Tap TV Setup and Control > TV Autoplay. Sonos made the Beam really easy to setup so you can start using it minutes after it arrives at your doorstep.Once you have the Sonos app downloaded, make sure your Sonos Beam is powered on. I also have a new Beam sound bar (for the same smart tv) however I can’t get it to pair with the Amp.
We'll send you an e-mail with instructions to reset your password.Lastly, I’m assuming then I can control all speakers with my TV remote?I recently setup a new Sonos Amp that is directly hard wired to two existing rear ceiling mount speakers. The Sonos Beam is even able to rival some of the higher-end surround systems as well. As is the case with Sonos’ other TV speakers, the Playbar and Playbase, the Beam can be upgraded from 3.0 to proper surround sound through the addition of two of the company’s smaller, music-first speakers, the Play:1, One, Play:3 or Play:5, Move, or indeed one of the new Symfonisk speakers recently released in collaboration with Ikea. Also, the Beam doing 3.0 on its own when fed 5.1 is not a mismatch: for 5.1 surround, you need 5.1 physical channels. It’s designed for small to medium sized rooms, but since it is a Sonos product, you can pair it with other Sonos speakers to upgrade your range. That all sounds nice, but how do you set it up? We’ll certainly take a high quality versatile and easily upgradeable $300 soundbar over a $1000 surround sound system that quickly becomes stagnant any day of the week!If you want, you can add other devices for your Sonos Beam to control or be controlled by; take the Amazon Alexa, for example. The Amp is connected directly to my smart TV via HDMI/ARC.
The Amp is the master with two existing hard wired rear surround ceiling speakers. After following these steps, you should have a great home theater setup with surround sound with your Sonos Beam and One, Play:1, Play:3, or Play:5 speakers. These are some of the more pricey soundbars on the market right now, but they’re of the utmost quality, too. On the left of the Now Playing screen is a crescent moon icon. You can even control your TV with Amazon Alexa or Siri. Are you thinking about getting a Sonos Beam, or perhaps you already have one, but want to set it up with surround sound for use as your home entertainment system? Download the Sonos app for iOS or Android. The soundbar is smart, too. Please open the Sonos App>Settings>Room Settings>[Your Beam]>EQ and the option to adjust the Bass, Treble and toggle Loudness on or off is available.
